Items That May Need Special Handling
Some items are allowed in certain situations, but they can trigger landfill, transfer station, weight, recycling, or handling rules.
Mattresses & Box Springs
Tell us before pickup. Some landfills and transfer stations charge extra for mattresses or box springs. If we are charged a mattress disposal fee, a $49 special-handling charge will apply.
Tires
Tires should be disclosed before pickup. Some disposal facilities charge extra for tires. If we are charged a tire disposal fee, a $25 special-handling charge will apply per tire.
Appliances
Appliances may require special handling, especially anything with Freon or refrigerant. Please ask before loading refrigerators, freezers, or AC units.
Concrete, Dirt, Brick & Tile
Heavy material can overload a dumpster quickly. These loads may need a smaller fill height, special pricing, or approval before delivery.
Roofing Shingles
Roofing loads are dense and disposal rules can vary. Contact us before booking so we can confirm the right dumpster size and weight expectations.
Wet Paint
Wet paint is accepted only when the container is tightly sealed and secured inside a sealed bag. Never pour paint directly into the dumpster.
Our recommendation for special-fee items:
Do not hide mattresses, tires, appliances, or special-handling items in the dumpster. Some landfills and transfer stations charge extra for certain items. If Little Junkers incurs a disposal fee, we pass it through transparently: mattresses are $49 when charged by the facility, and tires are $25 when charged by the facility.

Leave car batteries and up to 5 gallons of used motor oil outside the dumpster, clearly visible, and tell us before pickup. We can recycle those items, but they should not be placed inside the dumpster.
Are mattresses and appliances allowed?
Ask first. These items may be accepted, but landfills and transfer stations sometimes charge separate disposal or handling fees. Appliances, refrigerant-containing items, and similar materials should be disclosed before pickup so the process stays transparent.
Can tires go in the dumpster?
Ask first before loading tires. Some disposal facilities charge extra for tires. If Little Junkers is charged a tire disposal fee, a $25 special-handling charge applies per tire.
What happens if the dumpster is overloaded?
